The track of the Olympic Stadium in Berlin turned out to be happy for the participants of the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial. During the 800 m race in Chorzów we will watch three new European medalists.
The box of medals on the track during the European championships was opened by Marcin Lewandowski, who thanks to the fantastic finish of the 1500 m race, with the result 3:38.14, became the runner-up of the Old Continent. The last meters of the final run left no illusions how good this season the Polish runner is. Lewandowski will start at the Silesian Stadium in 800 m race.
In the context of the Chorzów’s run, even more excitement provided the final race on the distance of two laps. Two participants of the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial were on the podium of the championships. The unquestionable favorite on August 22 will be Adam Kszczot, who with time 1:44.59 reached for the third title of the European champion in a row. Obviously Pierre-Ambroise Bosse will want a revenge for the final. The Frenchman won the bronze medal in Berlin, obtaining the result 1:45.30. 26-year-old Bosse is the current world champion at this distance. Last year Adam Kszczot had to acknowledge his superiority during the world championships in London.
Who will be victorious at the Silesian Stadium? We will find it out on Wednesday, August 22, after 16.00, during the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzów. Admission to the event is free.
